Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik to tie the knot with wrestler Satyawart Kadian
Rio 2016 wrestling bronze medallist Sakshi Malik, who made the country proud is all set to tie the knot this year. And the groom for this wrestler bride is also an international level wrestler.

Satyawart Kadian, who hails from Rohtak, had represented India at the inaugural 2010 Youth Olympics and then represented India in Commonwealth Games. He won bronze and silver medals respectively at the events.

The news about the marriage was confirmed by Sachin Malik, brother of Sakshi Malik. He said, "It was decided before Sakshi left for Rio Olympics that they will get married."

Satyawart is the son of Satyawan Kadian, an Arjun Awardee. He is a renowned wrestler himself and now runs an akhada in Rohtak.

He also confirmed the reports and said, " They (Sakshi and Satyawart) are getting married and it will be a huge affair. Satyawart trains here in my akhada when he is not competing or in the national camp."

Satyawart's first major medal at an international event was when he won the bronze medal in the boys' freestyle 100 kg category at the debut Youth Olympics in Singapore. He then won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Satyawart, the talented young wrestler is two years younger to Sakshi, who turned 24 this week.

Interestingly, Satyawart was the first person to congratulate Sakshi for winning the bronze medal at Rio. "My Sweetheart #SakshiMalik? You have made us proud," Satyawart wrote on his Facebook page.

Earlier, she was quoted by Anand Bazar Patrika as saying, "He is very supportive and considers my dream as his own. After marriage, I will get a good friend in him, who would also help me in my preparation. I believe marriage would have no negative bearings on my wrestling career."
