MOST OF the celebrities in the world, be it Indian or foreigners, have an unwavering temptation to be in news and public limelight persistently. Now, wife of a celebrated actor Om Puri, Nandita has done exactly what can be easily termed as a publicity stunt, to make quick bucks and earn name through her biography written on her husband Om Puri-Unlikely Hero: The Story of Om Puri. It is attracting media and public attention not for Om Puri’s scintillating acting career spanning over three decades but for all the erroneous and shameful reasons. In her book, the author has elaborately penned Om Puri’s sexual relationship with two of her maids. The actor first had sexual encounter with his maidservant when he was only 14-year-old, later on he developed emotional bonding with her another maid Laxmi, with whom he also had long standing sexual relationship, described Nandita in her book titled Unlikely Hero: The Story of Om Puri.

Although Om Puri has not denied the story, but he has categorically opposed the manner, in which the incidents have been covered and made highlights of the book. He said there are many other facets of his life which could have been thrown open through his biography for the public. Om Puri is one of those actors in the Bollywood who has excelled not only in art cinema but also in commercial. Further, he has also worked in international projects with flying colors, winning accolades for his distinct acting.
