The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu has also been directed to monitor the situation regularly and sensitize the concerned to be prompt and responsive to the needs of people.

ON THE directions of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, the MLA Kishtwar, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo along with the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pawan Kotwal today undertook a detailed tour of remote areas of Marwah and Dachhan to assess the damages caused to livestock and property due to the untimely snowfall and incessant rains.

The Chief Minister has directed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to prepare urgently an action plan based on the assessment, for providing relief to the sufferers.

The Chief Minister also directed the Divisional administration for maintaining the supply of ration to the affected area so that the people do not face any problem on this account.

The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu has also been directed to monitor the situation regularly and sensitize the concerned to be prompt and responsive to the needs of people.

MLA Kishtwar, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo while interacting with the local people said that the damage caused to property and livestock in Dachan, Marwah and Paddar shall be assessed by the concerned authority and also damage to crops, trees and dwelling houses shall be also be assessed by the same agency. He assured them that Government would extend all possible help to the sufferers and their grievances would be redressed.
