One step ahead for Telangana, bill expected to be tabled today
The long cherished aspirations of Telangana people is 'most probably' going to be fulfilled today on 13th of February 2014 as the bill is 'expected' to be tabled in both the houses of the parliament. Mr Kamal Nath announcement came after discussing about the bill with the Prime Minister and some BJP leaders. When the bill will be passed in the parliament, the sixty year agitation of Telangana people will come to a close, where Telangana leaders played an important role.
The wait for the people of Telangana is at its end phase. The uncertainty prevailing over this issue has come to an end when the dinner politics of Dr. Manmohan Singh and top BJP leaders like LK Advani, Party President Ramnath Singh, opposition leader of Lok Sabha Mrs Sushma Swaraj and opposition leader in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitely turned out to be a success.
The bill has to be passed in both the houses, but it requires BJP's support as well, but, due to the lack of internal discipline in the Congress party, many opposition leaders had not shown interest in the bill, thus the bill lacked interest among the opposition parties. This had been cashed by some coastal Andhra Congress and Telugudesham party leaders and they propagated that the BJP was not interested in supporting the bill, as the bill does not fulfil the aspirations of Seemandhra people.
There were some statements of Venkiah Naidu, which suggested that the BJP was not supporting Telangana's cause whole-heartedly. Particularly, people in Telangana became angry on the party and the statements delivered by their leaders. Meanwhile, an MLA of BJP Mr. Srinivasa Reddy of Mahabubnagar openly criticized the statements of Venkaiah Naidu.
Finally the doubts and suspicions have been wiped out with the meeting of top BJP leaders with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
