Open a bottle of your favourite chilled beer with your iPhone.
Phones are slowing becoming a multiple personality commodity and adding to this is the latest opener. This slim case when fitted on iPhones, allows users to open beer bottles.
TODAY PHONES are such an integral part of our lives that we can forget our purse or keys while leaving for work but to leave behind a phone is unimaginable. Thus, tapping on this thought, two Australians have come up with a plan. They have installed an ‘Opena’ or a hard plastic case that fits over the iPhone, which will enable anyone to open a beer bottle. As Australians are famous for their binging parties, hence this would be really helpful for them and also for people who love a sip of beer with their lunch.

The two entrepreneurs, who developed the product, Melbourne-based Chris Peters, an industrial designer and Rob Ward, a former toolmaker, said, “We're always out at friends' houses and so on, and in some cases you may not have your keys on you...
So we thought, why don't we attach a bottle opener to an iPhone case? We always have our phones on us.”

Working out three basic principles; the case would be slim, the opener cannot scratch the iPhone and it must work without exerting pressure on the iPhone, both of them started developing the product. Two prototypes were developed after much testing, like opening the bottle and beer oozing out, but each testing showed that nothing happened to the iPhone.

After some initial glitches like the first prototype was too weak, development of the opener went smoothly. Even an online funding promised the launch of the device within weeks. When they uploaded a video, some disapproved putting a phone so close to the iPhone but mostly everyone approved. One even commented, “Finally I can combine my love of drinking and tech,” which clearly indicated that this combination would be a hit.
