Open letter to rail minister: Bring down the travel time from Telangana & AP to Sainagar station
Dear Mr. Suresh Prabhu, the Sainagar Railway Station facility for Shirdi is a boon to Sai devotees and thanks for the facility made available, also for Up and Down services for Shirdi from Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Chennai. It is a good thing to note that, many of the express trains have also extended their routes from Manmad to Shirdi.
Trains, especially which are from southern states take a roundabout route, from Rotegaon, Nagarsol, Manmad, Kopargaon and Puntamba to reach Sainagar stations while covering more kilometers of distance and consuming extra time.

It is requested that, the trains especially from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states be diverted from Rotegaon and Puntamba on the single electric line to shortened the distance by 120 kilometers which will also reduce the distance by almost 3 hours. The frequency of the train trips especially from Secunderabad be increased from two days in a week to four days.

It is a request from host of Shri Shirdi Sai devotees. Everyone hopes that, the Railway Ministry will consider the request, as Shri Shirdi Sai Mahasamadhi Shatabdhi Year is going to start from October this year. The ministry should take necessary steps to divert trains from Rotegaon to Sainagar and increase the trips also.

Hope, necessary decision will be taken and an announcement will be made at the earliest by the Rail Ministry.

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely,

T.R. Madhavan and host of other Sri Shirdi Sai devotees
