Opportunities are not increasing at the same pace as population
India's population is increasing every day and not enough job opportunities are being created. Many rural families are having a tough time with more mouths to feed, and less income in hand.
DESPITE INDIA being the largest democracy in the world, people are lacking basic amenities of life. India has not been able to create opportunities for its huge population that is increasing by the day, nor has it come out with a plan to check population increase. Such cases point to the fact that India has ceased to be a fair society as rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. On one hand there are those who are wasting resources and having a gala time, while there are people like this girl shown in the picture, who are trying to make something out of a difficult situation.
Children of her age should be enjoying their youth by playing and doing what they want to do. But the strong will of the girl is clearly visible. Words do not suffice the description of this small scene. There are many others who don’t even get a chance to even study!
It is time for our corrupt politicians to wake up and do something for nation building. We all must wake up and report such incidents as citizen journalists so that awareness is raised in society. Better still, we can support charitable causes to ensure that such children get a chance to pursue their dreams.
