THE MONTH long Orange County Fair opens today, July 16, in Costa Mesa. The theme of this year Orange County Fair is, The Beat Goes On, which honors the 120th year of the fair. It carries on a tradition of affordable family fun with great entertainment at family friendly prices. The event is organized by 32nd District Agricultural Association, State of California.
The Orange County Fair runs through Sunday, August 16, will offer entertainment and fun for all ages. Enjoy one of the concerts at the Pacific Amphitheatre Summer Concert Series. This year's headliners include performances by Bad Company, Train, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Adam Lambert, John Legend, Weird 'Al' Yankovic and many more.
In celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Orange County Fair, an exhibit held in Memorial Gardens will offer a decade-by-decade look at the county’s beloved summer event. In the Orange County Fair, Kids day will be celebrated on July 22, 29 and August 5 and 12. On these days children 12 and under will be allowed to be admitted free all day.
Under the Orange County summer night sky, Fairgoers can rock out with artists The B-52s, Train, Adam Lambert, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Faith Hill and more. More than $100,000 is being offered in cash premium awards to competitive entrants at this year’s Fair. In 2009, there were 4,256 participants entering 13,925 exhibits in competitive departments.
