Prime Minister and his associates are wise enough to realize that they can carry on with every anti-public decision taken under influence of corporate-lobby and/or foreign influence without any fear of instability of UPA government till the year 2014, because no political party including even opposition parties and UPA allies can afford mid-term elections.
IT IS because no ordinary Parliamentarian will ever support or wish for a lesser than five-year full term of membership of Parliament. After all, every Parliamentarian plays a big gamble to become a Parliamentarian after investing huge amount of money in an election-gamble in which just 543 such lucky ones manage to reach the Parliament in our highly polluted poll-system - which is tailor-stitched to suit tainted politicians.
And no such ‘lucky elected person’, irrespective of party-affiliations, will not be fool enough to lose his/her right to enjoy the privileges of being a Parliamentarian for a full term of five years allowing him/her to mint money directly and/or indirectly for his/her being a Parliamentarian.
Therefore, those capable of minting money through scams should try their level best to accumulate as much as possible, because it also remains a bitter fact that present the UPA government as tainted with so many scams and anti-public decisions - so that it will take a miracle for them to regain power after 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Rather it should legislate strict poll reforms in its last leg of its tenure so that their rivals, if they come to power, may not have any chance to be richer than existing ones in power by minting money through money-minting seats of power - as is the case under the present system. After all, money so minted cannot be practically utilized other than for the purpose of competing with politcal rivals for electoral richess.
