Children born with cleft deformity are often subjected to isolation & mental anguish, due to rejection from society. It brings along with a host of problems like, regurgitation of food and liquids through the nose, poor speech, dental and orthodontic problems, upper respiratory tract infections.
However it can be surgically corrected, which brings in a new ray of hope & a bright new smile on the child’s face, thereby giving him or her a new lease of life.
