ASK ANY young girl and one of the biggest dreams could well be sweeping the beauty contests. India has been endowed with some of the most beautiful women in the world who are excelling in the various walks of lives. But it is the idea of becoming ‘Miss India’ that breaks all boundaries. However, getting to that pedestal requires a lot of training and efforts, besides talent and hard work, and a lot of luck.
To the millions of young Indian girls who hope to participate and excel in the Miss India contests, there is a new hope. P7 News Channel, in association with famous designer Suneet Varma and Etasha Society is presenting to the city an unique fashion show that would lend wings to these dreams. Titled ‘I Believe I Can’, the event will be different from run-of-the-mill fashion shows in the sense it will tell a story of an ordinary girl who with proper training goes on to become Miss India.
The role of the girl will be played by former Miss India Ms Ekta Chaudhury in the show that will be held at Grand, Vasant Kunj on March 20. Trainees of Etasha Society will also be a part of the show.
“I have been part of countless shows, but this one is so different as it has social cause attached to it, is featured uniquely and also stretches my creativity. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and am confident that people will love the Resort Collections that I will be presenting on the show,” said Suneet Varma on the upcoming show.
"We have always believed in supporting causes that is helpful to the women. If you look at our channel logo, even that says ‘Ek Umeed’, which means ‘a hope’ and this programme also comes as a ray of hope to many aspiring girls. P7 is very happy and proud to present this show,” said Jyoti Narain, director, P7 News Channel.
The show is organised in support of the Etasha society that works for the training of youths.
