IN THE recently held SAARC Home Minister’s conference in Islamabad, Pakistan showed it’s willingness to provide the very crucial voice samples of 26/11 handlers and also to provide various other intelligence support to India, which will surely help the investigators of our country to nab many more people involved in the Mumbai terror attack of last year.
During the meeting, the issue of 26/11 terror strike on Mumbai was a focal point of discussion between the two countries. The tone of Discussion between the Home Minister of India, P. Chidambaram and his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik was positive and both of them quoted that they are hopeful about the outcomes this mutual co-operation.Indian investigators are in need of the voice samples of those involved in that terror attack to enable them to nab more terrorists. When India asked whether Pakistan provide intelligence support in this investigation, Malik said Pakistan is ready to co-operate in all possible ways to facilitate the investigation.
Chidambaram said that the leaders from two sides had discussed what has already been done and what future course of action to be taken in the future, regarding this investigation. The Mumbai terror strike derailed the process of improving diplomatic ties between these two archrival neighboring countries but recent dialogues and promises are surely the silver linings.
