Pakistan Cricket Board keen to restore normal cricketing relations with India
It appears a little strange that on one hand, Pakistan leaves no chance to criticize India even at the highest level and on the other hand, it has been stressed time and again by their cricket administrators to allow participation of Pakistani cricketers in the prestigious IPL.

Few of the former Pakistani cricketers have already emphasized that India should consider allowing Pakistan Cricket Team to play against Indian Cricket Team, even at a neutral ground. Sharjah and Abu Dhabi had been suggested as the possible venues for Indo- Pak cricketing ties.

Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Shahryar Khan recently stated that he was satisfied with the performance of the Lahore Lions team. He also added that Lahore Lions Team has sparked the interest of Indian cricket fans in the Pakistani cricketers, by saying, "But apart from performances the Lahore Lions team has played a big role in highlighting Pakistan cricket in India in the last two weeks."

He stressed on the fact that Pakistani players should be given a chance to play in the IPL, by commenting, "Until now the absence of our players from the IPL is very disappointing but we are trying our best to improve bilateral cricket ties with India."

He also opined that Pakistan's cricket board is open towards the idea of playing a series with Indian Cricket team on neutral grounds. He said, "We are willing to host the Indians at any neutral venue selected with mutual cooperation of both boards. But we want the restoration of bilateral cricket series as soon as possible."

He also showed reluctance to the idea of comparing Pakistan's T20 franchised league with the IPL by stating, "Indian cricket has moved well ahead of us organisation and financial wise and right now no other T20 event compares with the IPL."

We hope that sport can break the boundaries!
