Palm Sunday bombings in Egypt shock world, Indian Prime Minister Modi condemns attacks
A series of attacks on Churches as Christians in Egypt are celebrating their Holy Lent Season have left at least 50 dead and several hundred injured. The attacks have shocked the world as Christians were specifically targeted.

Reportedly, ISIS has claimed responsibility by calling Christians 'infidels' who were empowering the West against Muslims and their 'favourite preys'.

The terrible and deadly attacks have taken place at the beginning of Holy Week leading up to Easter and just shortly before Pope Francis's due visit to the country.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi has vowed to frustrate 'efforts by countries and fascist, terrorist organizations that tried to control Egypt'. He has declared emergency in the country and deployed troops to assist civil administration and police in protecting Egypt's vital facilities.

The Egyptian President has also declared three days of nationwide mourning consequent to the dreadful suicide bombings and loss of life.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condemned the attacks in Egypt and in released statement said, "Deeply pained by the attacks in Egypt. We condemn these attacks. My thoughts are with families of the deceased and prayers with the injured."
