The master flutist of India, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia enthralled the students of Greenwood High International School, Bangalore with his scintillating performance at its main campus on 30 January 2014. He was seen weaving the magic of the untold tunes to the young minds of the future and rendered some soulful melodies, which inspired the fast moving generation with a tinge of our rich culture.
After a brief performance, Panditji had an interactive session with the children. The interactive sessions had him playing some tunes and asking children to recognize and sing some bhajans as well. He also played snippets of Raghupati Raghav and Jingle bells and had children sing for him while he played.
He later allowed the children to ask him questions and very calmly answered to all the inquisitive questions probed by children about his childhood, inspiration, love for music etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Niru Agarwal, Trustee, Greenwood High International School said “We are extremely honoured to have Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia among us. Witnessing the performance of an internationally acclaimed artist is an opportunity of a lifetime. We are indeed glad that our students had a chance to interact with the maestro.”
