Panjab University in Chandigarh to host International Psychological Science Congress
International Psychological Science Congress is going held from 18-20 September with the theme "Psychological Well Being: Reflections across the Culture" at Department of Psychology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, this year.

The event is being organised by the National Association of Psychological Science (NAPS) to build a platform for the scholarly exchange of the latest researches in psychology fields and sharing the recent knowledge updates in psychology and allied sciences.

According to the conference organizers, the concept of 'well-being' is tied to many pertinent issues, such as societal outcomes, family relationships, health, work life, wealth and quality of life. Moreover, the development and growth should not be measured exclusively by economic performance since it also comprises of other dimensions that reflect quality of life and well-being.

An increasing number of national governments are using research findings on well-being as a guide for public policy, and adopting well-being indicators as measures of social progress and sustainable development, informs the concept note of the conference.

The aim of the conference is to inspire and energise professionals and researchers to disseminate individual and collective work that benefits toward well being globally.

The venue of the conference is the Panjab University (PU) which has a long tradition of pursuing excellence in teaching and research in science and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. The University is known for excellence and innovation in academic programmes, promotes excellence in research, scholarship and teaching.

The subthemes of the conference are the Sport Science and Well-Being; Clinical Psychology; Health psychology; Media Psychology; Organizational Behaviour and Management; Positive Psychology; Psychology and Development; Psycho-Social Issues; Sports and exercise psychology; Cultural psychology; Political psychology; Education and School psychology; and similar other topics.

Some of the other interesting topics are the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality; Bhagvad Gita and Psychotherapy; Buddha Philosophy; Karma theory of well being; Life Span Development; The NGOs in India: Well Being via Community Services; Globalisation and Migration, etc.

The conference will have keynote addresses, paper presentations, poster presentations, discussions and workshops.
