Pastor Terry Jones cancels plan to burn the Holy Quran
Terry Jones, the Florida pastor has suspended to burn copies of the Qur'an, the Muslim holy book, on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
TERRY JONES, the Florida pastor has suspended his plan to burn copies of the Qur'an, the Muslim holy book, on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Terry Jones changed his plan after strong suggestion from President Obama and worldwide condemnation by leaders worldwide and Muslim communities.

At the outside of Dove World Outreach Centre church in Gainesville, Florida, Terry Jones told reporters that he learned that the Ground Zero mosque would be moved to another the location. He was accompanied by head of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, Imam Muhammad Musri. He will fly to New York on Saturday September 11 to meet the New York imam Feisal Abdul Rauf about moving the mosque.

Muslims consider the Qur'an, the book of divine guidance and direction for humanity and treat it with the utmost respect.

In Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Muslim countries people protested yesterday against the proposed burning. Malaysia had referred Terry Jones's plan a "heinous" act, Bahrain had called it a shameful act. India had called for strong action to prevent this happening, while Indonesias government had also strongly protested the purposed burning of Holy Qur'an.

Meanwhile, Muslim countries and people from across the globe have expressed their happiness after Jones said that he had cancelled his plan to burn copies of the Holy Qur'an on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Damn... I'd expect a 12 year old to do something stupid as this. That said, it's sad to see a grown man like Terry doing this. Grow the hell up Rev.
Why not allow the idiot to burn the Holy Qur'an as he wishes, it is Allah that owned the Qur'an and he guide it from above, did Terry Jones thinks the Holy Qur'an is man made, please allow him to do it.

Mr Terry seems to have forgotten to grow up. I would love to know his reactions if someone decides to burn bible on christmas. If the so called religious teachers have not leant tolerance and co existance from their respective religions, then i guess, they have not even started to learn the first alphabet of what their religion really has to offer. All i can say in short simple line..what an idiot!
