TELE EVANGELIST Pat Robertson apparently believes that Haiti is to blame for the carnage brought on by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks which killed thousands.

He reportedly stated that the Haiti earthquake is "God’s vengeance upon the Haitians for making a deal with the devil to rid themselves of the French." He made this announcement on his daily talk show the 700 club. Though Haiti was once occupied by the French, they left it in 1825. The determination with which Pat Robertson made this announcement does not justify why, if his hypothesis is true, did God wait for 200 years to deliver said vengeance.

The controversial tele evangelist has been in the news for his stint as a faith healer and claims to deflect hurricanes via his prayers. He has claimed that some Protestant denominations harbor the spirit of Antichrist, apart from calling Hindusim demonic and Islam satanic. He also condemns feminism, homosexuality and abortion.
