Patna plays host to a dog show
Sunday was indeed a very happy day for animal lovers and various breeds of dogs in Patna. Children, dogs and their masters were in a jolly mood at the Moin-ul-Haque Stadium in Patna. The occasion was PKCB All Breed Championship Dog Show-2013.This was first dog show of Primo Kennel Club of Bihar (PKCB), held in Patna.

A GERMAN shepherd was declared Champion of this dog show. He was honoured with a beautiful trophy and a certificate. The show was inaugurated by the chief guest, Professor of English, Patna University and Chairman of Sangeet Natak Academy, Patna, Dr Shanker Dutt by lighting the lamp.

“The dog is the most obedient friend of man. They need our love and care. Don’t beat them. Instructions with lovely care can change its aggressiveness. Always feed them healthy and fresh food,” suggested Dr. Dutt during his inaugural address.

About 185 dogs and bitches of many famous breeds participated in the show. Some of the most famous breeds were Pug, Labrador, Sant Barnard, Boxer, Sphitz and Alsatian etc. The style of  walking of a pug – Rancho was very stylish.

PKCB president Manoj Kumar Singh, General Secretary Arvind Kumar Singh, Lalit Kapoor, Anwar Ali, Mose Peter and Dr Ranjeet Kumar also spoke on this occasion about the better healthcare of dogs and pups. Moser peter was the judge of the show.

All winners were honored with trophies/ medals and certificates. During the championship, all the participants showcased their good habits and discipline. Members of the society, Chandan Kumar Singh, Kshitij Swaroop and Vijay Kumar actively worked for making the event a grand success.
