Peace chain by both Indians and Pakistanis for Mumbai blasts in Delhi
A human chain is being organised in Delhi to pay tribute and promote peace in the wake of the Mumbai blasts. This chain would be joined by both the Indians and the Pakistanis.

MUMBAI WAS under attack yet again, and people are debating about the Indian political system, pointing fingers at Pakistan but on the other hand there are people from both the sides who are making an attempt to promote peace. Indians as well as Pakistanis will join hands to form a human chain signifying unity and. peace. The ceremony will be conducted in Delhi at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi on Saturday.

The peace chain, as it is called, is being organised by some civil society groups. They will join hands in attempt to bring peace and condemn the recent Mumbai blasts. 200 people from both Pakistan and India will promote the message by joining hands. A statement released by the organisers read.

"We the citizens of India and Pakistan strongly condemn the inhuman and dastardly serial blasts in Mumbai on 13th July 2011 in which 21 innocent people were killed and over 140 injured."

One of the organisers of the human chain, Faizal Khan, has lashed out at the terrorists, and said that the the peace chain is to give the terrorists a clear message that the people have not lost hope yet by their acts of violence. He also added, “It is clear that these blasts are a well orchestrated heinous conspiracy to derail the resumption of the dialogue and peace process between India and Pakistan that was stalled following the terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008.”

According to the organisers groups around 15 people from Pakistan are already in India for the human chain. More people are expected to arrive soon to join the chain, which not only denotes peace but also is a kind of tribute to the victims.
