The actors, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg who are known to provide a solid hour of great television are sure to grab a lot of attention. “The Pee-wee Herman Show” is the quirky live stage show that helped catapult Paul Reubens to achieve fame in the early 1980s. It marked the first appearance of the Pee-wee Herman character–five full years before the cult classic movie “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” debuted and six before “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” hit the small screen. This fall, the show will debut on Broadway for a six-week run.
“The Pee-wee Herman Show” is set for a six-week run at the Stephen Sonheim Theater on Broadway beginning on October 26 this year. The show has been re-written by Reubens and now includes several references to twenty first century patterns, such as the Internet and the ShamWow, along with several new characters.
