People camp up outside Apple stores for iPhone 5

PEOPLE IN New York have been camping outside Apple stores to lay their hands on iPhone 5 at the earliest. The handset that hits stores on coming Friday is already seeing overwhelming response from fans across the globe. In New York, people were seen camping on sunbathing chairs with more Apple products in their hands and ears, waiting for stores to open for Apple iPhone 5.

The immense popularity of the phone has made headlines in the past days. The company has received millions of orders that would also be delivered on Friday itself. This phenomenon of getting one's hands on Apple devices on the first day is very popular among gadget junkies in the west. To clearly understand the obsession one would either have to love gadgets the same way as an obsessed person does or visit the US.

The iPhone 5 boasts of a wider screen and a slimer frame and it sells for $199 for the 16 gigabyte model, $299 for the 32 GB or $399 for the 64 GB model. The model will be available in all the 356 US stores starting Friday and thus the rush for the same. The stores in the US are also offering free personal set-up service that will help customers to personalize their devices and this is another incentive that attracts the early birds to line up outside the Apple stores in the west and wait for an expensive Apple to come their way.
