People tie 'hug me' messages around stray dogs in Gurgaon
The youtube video of two little Chilean girls tying balloons with messages on them to stray dogs with heart-warming messages, inspired the people of Gurgaon so much that they started their own move.

The four and a half minute youtube clip ''I am here!'' is an initiative to bring light to the lives of stray animals and introduce itself as an urban intervention that seeks to raise awareness about the animals living on the streets. The video has inspired the Gurgaon people in a way that they did something similar in the Galleria Market. The residents of Millenium City went around the market, tying balloons with messages on them to the stray dogs in the area. With no fear and without any queer feelings from both sides, the people and the dogs as well enjoyed the drive.

One of the residents told Times Of India that the video transformed the way people see dogs on the streets by tying balloons to their necks with messages saying things like 'hug me', 'don't abandon me', etc. It was a good idea to remind the people about the dogs on the streets, deserted by the love that the usual pets recieve in houses. It is important to remind people about the small and simple things that can spread happiness.

When contributing to a good deed, it is obvious that there would be roadblocks. The Millennium City residents started with a few dogs in Galleria Market, but there were people who opposed it saying they were making the dogs uncomfortable.

As reported by the, Tarun Singh, a student said that he loves pets, especially dogs and when she learnt about this initiative, she was interested to join.

The balloons were tied with a satin ribbon instead of a thread which could have made the dogs uneasy. This helped the dogs get some attention, petting and food, being worth the effort.
