People's Representation Act needs amendments
Presently, the People's Representation Act needed certain basic changes. The electorates should been given the right to call back their representative from the House if he/she doesn't perform according to his/her promises.

OUR POLITICIANS are losing trust of the people which often reflects in the low turnout of electorate at the polling booths on an election day. There has been no zeal among the voters and contestants in the fray look completely confuse and uncertain of their victory as they have been calculating themselves that the majority of the voters did not like them and that is why they don’t go out and vote. I feel that time has come when we should make amendments in our People Representation Act that suits the needs of present times.

There is no denial to the fact that now-a-days we are not having political leaders with mass following rather we are having political manipulators who have no ideology and political principles to follow. They have no loyalty and no intentions to serve people. They want to enter in politics to make millions and to abuse power and waste people’s money.

They keep on jumping from one political party to another keeping their personal interests in mind. I think we, the electorates of India, must get the right to call back our representatives from the House if they do not perform up to our expectations. One more thing which I would like to add is that every candidate should be allowed to contest from one place only and that should be his/her hometown where people know about the past and present of the candidate who is contesting the election. I think this will help in great way in selecting candidates on merit rather than selecting on caste and party basis.
