With Father's Day on June 19, sons and daughters across the world must be wondering, what are the perfect gifts that they could gift their dad? There are some gifts that have been mentioned in this article that you could gift to your father.

"I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection." - Sigmund Freud

It’s Father’s Day on June 19. Sons and daughters across the world may be coming up with great ideas to surprise their dad. Everybody wants to make it a special day for their dad. Sometimes, a gift may be something that your dad could cherish forever.
Before you move out of your home to any shop for your dad’s gift, remember the things that your dad likes, does not have and he wishes to posses. There are some gifts suggestions that has been mentioned below which would make things easier for sons and daughters to give their dads as a gift.
1.  Tie and a shirt
One of the perfect gifts that you could gift your dad, if he is working in an office would be a nice tie and a shirt. But before you head out to the market, please check what are the kinds of tie and shirts he already has because you would not want to gift him something, which he already possesses. You should be able to decide on the colour of the tie and shirt according to his age. Don’t look for a shirt, which is bright in colour if your dad is 60+ years.
2.  Leather goods
You could probably gift your dad a wallet, portfolio bag or a belt. These items are something that our dads always carry along with them every day so they would surely appreciate it.
3.  Books
Some fathers always have a habit of reading a book before going to sleep on a regular basis. You could gift them a book according to his taste. If he is inclined towards sports, you could gift him a book on sports, if he is inclined towards history, you could gift him a book an interesting book on history of India or whatever interests him.
4.  Shaving kit
If your dad is someone who always prefers a clean shave before going to work or market, then a shaving kit would be appropriate gift. But, you should remember what type of blades and shaving cream he prefers before heading to the market.
5.  Champagne
If your dad belongs to a classic mould of men who prefer to keep a Champagne bottle in their room, irrespective of whether they drink or not, but love to keep it in their room as a collection. If your dad falls in this category, then it would not be a bad option.
If you are someone who do not believe in materialistic things the there are a lot of creative things that you can do on your own that will surprise him. It would act as a gift from your heart. This may not cost you much but the effort and the time to create something creative could make your father happy. Some of the things that you could possibly do are as follows:

1.  Just sneak into your photo album, and try to bring out all those pictures where you have been photographed along with your dad. Try to select the best 15-20 pictures and make a collage and convert it into a frame. Just remember to wake up before your dad and hang the frame in the wall. The first thing he sees when he wakes up should be the frame. So the placing of the frame on the wall or the bedstead should be planned appropriately. It would definitely make his day special and a memorable one. You could even make a calendar, mug or a plate with the collage printed on it.

2.  If your dad has a habit of drinking ‘bed tea’ in the morning, then you should be the one making it along with a nice breakfast. The breakfast has to be made according to what he prefers in his regular breakfast.
3.  Some people love listening to music, and if your dad is one of those - arrange a list of songs that are his all-time favourite, and burn a CD for him.
4.  You could really surprise your father by making a promise about something which he has always been asking you to do. For example, it may happen that you enter home late everyday without informing anyone, and he wants you to come home on time. So, from June 19 onwards, you promise to come home on time unless it is an emergency. But, it has to be remembered - promises are not meant to be broken. Do not commit if you know that you cannot, as it would hurt your dad.
 5.  You could spend a good time with your father, keeping aside all your work, your friends, your daily activities. Just spend quality time with him, which would always bring a smile on his face.
Whatever gift you have decided, it should be accompanied with a bear hug and don’t forget to say him, ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.
