Person from Northeast attacked by neighbours in Gurgaon
People from Northeast India have been a subject to a number of attacks in Gurgaon and such cases are not coming to an end at all, as can be established by Sunday night incident in Nathpur village. Soijamuan Phiamphu from Manipur was badly thrashed by his two neighbours at his room in his residence at 11 PM, hence, was admitted to the Neelkanth hospital.

According to Police, Soijamuan has taken a room on rent in Nathupur village, where he resides with his family. He is employed as a driver in a Gurgaon based private company. The perpetrators have been identified as Sujit (24) and Ajit (23).

Though the police may have arrested Sujit while Ajit is on free run, the victim's family alleged police for dereliction of duty. When they called up the police control room, the call was disconnected. Hence, the police reached the hospital, next day. On the other side, the police said that they reached the hospital after the hospital staff informed the police at 8:15 on Monday.

The police further said that the blood sample of Soijamuan Phiamphu given by the doctors have been sent for investigation. He was unconscious when brought to the hospital. He had sustained serious head injuries and stitches too.

ACP (DLF) Dalbir Singh said, "The incident occurred after a tiff between the neighbours. The man from Northeast also assaulted the duo. We have registered a case against the two brothers at DLF city phase 2 police station under sections 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) under Indian Penal Code. The victim's statement has been recorded and weare investigating the incident," as reported by Times of India.

Bruce K Thangkhal, media-in-charge, northeast support centre (NESC) was disappointed with such repetitive attacks on the people of Northeast.
