PORNGATE IS what tweeple have been referring this – how weird it could be than this when two BJP ministers who have been chosen by people to represent them in the assembly, instead of watching the proceedings were watching porn movies on their cell phones. Appraently they were bored of the proceedings and thought it prudent to remain aloof and roam in a world of fantasy of their own.

When ministers, who are expected to lead by examples, indulge in such activities, that too while the assembly is in session, it is not only unacceptable but a shame as well. Such ministers sit on judgment to formulate policies and shape the future of the state. As it has been revealed, one of the ministers holds the corporation portfolio and the other is the minister of woman and child development.

Thanks to live coverage of house proceedings on TV, the act of the ministers was captured on the video and was there for all to see – they sat side by side and were apparently enjoying the smut. They cannot deny the charges.

This comes close on the heels of the revelation of a rave party in St Mary's Island near Malpe coast in Udupi district, which had been organized by the Karnataka government as an event to promote tourism in the Udupi district. Drugs and drinks flowed freely in the party which had nearly 900 people participating – most of them were foreigners – they were put up in 300 tents.

Footage showed many foreign couples in various compromising positions lying in full view of the public. These acts of the BJP ministers paint a dismal picture of the happenings in Karnataka which is ruled by the party.
