Pheed most downloaded app is a mash up of Facebook and Twitter
Facebook and Twitter would not be happy as a new mash up of both the social networking sites, called Pheed, is creating waves. Although, not widely known but Pheed is the latest most downloded app in the App store, which has outrun both Facebook and Twitter. With numerous similar features of both Twitter and Facebook, Pheed also has an added feature - users can charge followers from 1.99 dollars up to 34.99 dollars a month to view their feed.

One can sign in with their Facebook, Twitter and other social accounts and can follow other people, comment and upload video, audio tracks, music from other users. Picture of various sizes can be uploaded in Pheed and like Twitter, it also has a number of trending topics. Clicking on these topics, one would get what the Pheeders are upto and what kind of things are popular in the Pheed world.

One can always update their Facebook status through Pheed, which will not be posted in Pheed itself. This social site has a strong Facebook dependency and like Facebook, it also has a timeline, which is almost similar to the Facebook wall. The major difference between Facebook and Pheed is that a user doesn't get a separate profile page. Apart from this, Pheed, unlike Facebook also has a 'I don't like it' button whereby anyone can not like things in this space.

It is yet to be popular but the site has very cool look and feel about it. It is a highly downloadable app but will it really supersede Facebook is a big question. Pheed, that was launched in October 2012 by some wealthy veteran internet entrepreneurs, started off with the aim that users should make money out of social networking sites.
