Photographs are one of the best medium of mass awareness in the society. That was the prime message of the three day group photography exhibition which was recently organized by the students of the College of Arts and Crafts of Patna University in its Taxila Gallery at Patna in Bihar.
This exhibition was inaugurated by the college principal Dr Chandra Bhushan Srivastava. In the exhibition, which concluded on September 1, 45 photographs were exhibited. All photographs were untitled. The main subjects of the photographs were nature, childhood, park, religious tourist places, street scenes and light mixing.
Ankit Ranjan (Fifth year, applied art student) was the organiser of this exhibition. This was his first photography exhibition in which he exhibited 5 photographs. Young photographers who showcased their photographic talents were Vishwajeet Kumar, Arunima, Gunjan Kumar, Vatsalya, Uday Kumar Das, Sachin Kumar, Sunny Kumar, Md Shoeb Alam, Madhuri Lahiri, Priyanshu, Manoj Kumar Gupta, Azad Anand, Uttam Anand and Anupma.
Some of the most important photographs were : Our elders should show good example (Ankit Ranjan), A school student at the entrance (Sunny Kumar), Street restaurant (Manoj Kumar Gupta), Eidgah (Vishwajeet Kumar) and Children playing in the fountain (Uday Kumar Das).
“Our senior citizens should teach good habits to our younger generation for making our society better and human friendly. Street toilets are not suitable for the use due to the pollution and openness. We wanted to give our society good thoughts for the environmental conservation and child rights protection,” said the organizer and photographer Amit Ranjan to this citizen journalist
