AN OFFICIAL of the Pine Plains N.Y said that the principal of Stissing Mountain High School, was taken hostage by a gunman. The gunman was a former student and held the principal hostage for more than two hours this morning.
All the students are reported to be safe and sound. At around 10am ET the gunman surrendered to the police even without any firings or resistance.Gregg Pulver, town supervisor said that the gunman appeared to be in 40s and no shots were fired. Nobody was hurt.
It is being said that the gunman at Pine Plains NY was a parent of one of the two students who were in the building.The school is about 90 miles north of New York City. The reason for what prompted the incident is still not clear.
