Pink city Jaipur celebrates Hindi Diwas
Jaipur celebrated Hindi Diwas officially by organising a function at Jawahar Kala Kendra on September 14, which was coordinated by the Department of Languages and Library. Correspondence in Hindi was promoted by the government offices on this occasion.
Education institutes and government offices also orgainsed various functions like essay writing competition and poster competition to promote Hindi.

At the official "Hindi Diwas Samaroh-2015", the key note address on the importance of Hindi was given by Prof. NK Pandeya in the presence of state education minister Vasudev Devnani, who presided over the function as the chief guest.

The special issue of the quarterly magazine of government of Rajasthan "Hindi Parichaya" was released on the occasion in the presence of guests of honour and government officials.

Students who had performed well in Hindi papers of the secondary and senior secondary examination were honoured.

At a separate observance at Parishkar College of Global Excellence in the city, a poster competition was held for promotion of Hindi language, its rich literature, cultural heritage and values.

In Delhi, the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee presented the Rajbhasha awards on the occasion of Hindi Divas to those who had done commendable work in Hindi. He urged everyone to come together to propagate the use of Hindi.

In his address, he added that Hindi was the vehicle of Indian thought and culture as well as a link between our traditional knowledge, ancient civilization and modern progress. He stressed on the need to increase the use of Hindi in Science and Technology through simple translation of literature pertaining to technical knowledge.
