Place an online order for Gangajal, India Post will deliver it to you
Union communication and IT minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad has informed that people will soon be able to order 'Gangajal' online. The postal department will ensure that your Gangajal order reaches you on time.

"There is a huge demand for Ganga jal. We want people from across the country to get pure Ganga jal from holy places like Haridwar through an e-commerce platform," said Ravi Shankar Prasad while talking about NDA's accomplishment on Digital India over the past 2 years at an event.

More than 900 e-commerce firms are linked with India Post today - a government-owned postal service. Hence, India Post saw 80 per cent of growth in two years by registering revenue of Rs 1,300 crore in 2015-16. It saw an additional amount of Rs 500 crore in 2014-15.

As per the minister, the number of India Post ATMs too have augmented to 942 up this year, from four in May 2014.

The minister also launched e-Sampark portal today, a single window for all government services. According to Prasad, the portal is a "game changer in respect to information corner. It will help government officials to connect with citizens."
