PM Modi embarks upon four-nation six-day tour; first stopover in Germany
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has travelled to virtually every country, visiting which, he thought, would be in the best interest of the nation.

In the starting phase of his tenure as the Prime Minister of the country, PM Modi visited many countries for improving relations. And now, after more than three years in office, and taking a briefhiatus from touring, he is now heading for a hush-hush four-nation six-day tour again on May 29.

In his current trip of the European nations, he will be first stopping over at Meseberg near Berlin in Germany, where he would be meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel.

He will also call on German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Our prime minister considers Germany as our valuable partner. He said, "German competencies fit well with my vision for India's transformation."

In Berlin, Modi and Angela Merkel will also interact with top business leaders of both the countries to further strengthen the trade and investment ties.

"I am confident that this visit will open a new chapter in our bilateral cooperation with Germany and further deepen our Strategic Partnership," the Prime Minister said in one of his Facebook posts.

Bilateral cooperation on economic, defence, science and technology, and nuclear fronts; parleys on EU-India Free Trade Agreement are key issues that are likely to be discussed in his meetings with political leaders of other nations.

Our prime minister will also be visiting Spain from May 30 onwards, which will be the first visit of an Indian prime minister there in nearly 30 years. This will be followed by his visit to Russia for the bilateral summit, and then, finally, he shall travel to France for meeting the newly elected president Emmanuel Macron.
