According to the study, about 90 per cent of all administrators have an official Facebook presence. The study also reveals that 87 heads of state, 82 heads of government and 51 foreign ministers upholds personal pages on the networking site.
As per the study, the governments of 24 nations are yet to show their presence on Facebook including China and Switzerland. In China, the social network is banned while in Switzerland, the former president initiated a personal page in 2013, but deactivated it four months later.
With passage of time, Facebook has turned out to be the much-loved platform of choice for world leaders and governments to connect with their voters and constituents.
