PM's excessive security claims common man's life
PM is important for the nation but there is no point in having a security cover that creates inconvenience for common man and at times responsible for claiming the lives of common man.

A WELL known scholar defined democracy as government of the people, by the people and for the people, however, in world’s biggest democracy these lines are mere quotation that look fascinating on the walls of government offices and schools.

Every now and then, common man suffers from diverse problems, namely price rise, corruption, terrorism, crime and poverty that have bearing on country but for politicians and officers-these are only political issues to consolidate their vote bank. Whenever a leading politician visits any city or department to participate or inaugurate any function, security arrangements cause unwarranted inconvenience to the public. In one such incident, a 32-year-old man succumbed to his ailment as his condition worsened and his kins were not allowed to enter PGI Chandigarh as there was heavy security, owing to the scheduled visit of the PM Manmohan Singh. He was there to attend the convocation of the PGI, Chandigarh.

The deceased Sumit Verma had been suffering from kidney ailment and was on dialysis, when his condition started deteriorating, his family members brought him to PGI Chandigarh. Enroute to the hospitals, they came across many security hurdles on main roads leading to the hospitals and wasted precious time. And their ordeal didn’t end there, when they reached the hospital gate, they were asked to rush here and there for treatment, wherever they went they faced security personnel and nobody helped them in their tumultuous time as all of them were busy in providing security to the PM. Had Sumit received the treatment well in time he would have been alive today.

PM is important for the nation but there is no point in having a security cover that creates inconvenience for common man and at times responsible for claiming the lives of common man. I being from Agra that has one of the seven wonders of the world Tajmahal understand this problem better, every other day Indian VIPs or foreign dignitaries visit our city, it leaves thousands of people living or going around the road leading to Tajmahal stranded in traffic unnecessary for hours.
