POA president praises Pak junior hockey team's performance
In a letter to President PHF, Qasim Zia, Hassan praised the performance of the Pakistan Junior Hockey Team in the 1st Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. The Pakistani team secured the siilve medal and was appreciated for showing skills and spunk.
PRESIDENT, PAKISTAN Olympic Association (POA) Lt. Gen (Retd) Arif Hassan has appreciated the effots made by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) towards promotion of the game in the country.
 
In a letter to President PHF, Qasim Zia, Lt. Gen (Retd) Hassan praised the performance of the Pakistan Junior Hockey Team in the 1st Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. The Pakistani team secured the siilve medal in the tournament and won accolades for it's skill and fighting spirit. 
 
Hassan said that the perofmance by the team had brought cheers to the country at a time, when gloom was prevailing all around. He also wished the players success in future and said that their performance was exemplary not only on the field but also off it.
 
Lt. Gen ® Arif Hassan also said that the Pakistan Hockey Federation had taken a great step by establishing Hockey academies in the country. He also hoped that these schools would produce great players in the coming time and glory to the nation.
 
"If PHF keeps focus on these lines then we hope that Pakistan will get its lost glory back in hockey soon" , he added.
 
POA President also congratulated President PHF Qasim Zia, Secretary Muhammad Asif Bajwa and their team for the sincere efforts that were and are being put in for the rejuvenation of hockey in the country and gave assurance for their full support in future.
