Police recover explosives in Maoist-hit Jharkhand
Acting on a tip-off, police recovered a huge quantity of explosives in Maoist-hit area of Ranchi. Security personnel unearthed explosives kept in small cylinders from forest region in Tamar, 70km from the city, thus averting a major disaster in Jharkhand.

“After five to six hours of extensive search in the forest, we recovered 2511 double detonator boosters, which contain high explosives. Each booster weighs around 125 grams,” Saket Kumar Singh, senior superintendent of police told ANI.

He also said: “One booster is enough to claim one life; it is a major success for the Ranchi police 'Cobra' and our team. Everybody should be congratulated. Everybody who was part of the team will be rewarded.”

The state government runs many anti-Maoist programmes, but they are proving to be of no use, as the rebels attack police stations at their will.

According to various experts, more than corruption, it's the political compulsion and vote bank politics, which prove to be major bottlenecks in the fight against Maoists.
