Political entrepreneurs: Amassing enormous wealth- VII
There is strong need for looking at these issues and to find suitable and effective remedies to save our culturally rich country from these nefarious activities. There is also a need for making the entire operation highly smooth to tackle scams.

AN IMPORTANT question arises here. Why do big scammers in India eventually go scott free? The reasons are:

(a) Those who are authorised to book them work hand in glove with them
(b) There is a severe lack of strict laws ( like Sharia laws in the Middle East countries and Saudi Arab), and, hence, to tackle financial scams in Indian penal code we need amendments.

The law should be such that there should be severe punishment to the offenders/culprit, and it should be deterrent. The final decisions should not be delayed. In fact, justice delayed is justice denied. We should follow this motto in the legal domain. Judiciary should not be dominated by the politicians and bureaucrats. It should be an entirely independent system. Strong governance can also help in this context.

We must also remember that:

  • Political entrepreneurs, apart from being part and parcel of scams and other related activities, also create non-friendly barriers in way that the government subsidy or help meant for the poorer sections of the country reaches them;
  • Apart from what they declare as their assets, they also amass huge wealth in a concealed way;
  • They also use a greater chunk of tax payers’ money for their own purpose, especially in the shape of non-plan expenditure,
  • Enormous amount of money is spent on the “security” of these political entrepreneurs; If they do not feel secure to walk freely in public life (as did leaders in the fifties or so), they should immediately quit or be recalled by the voters. If they only think of their personal benefits and not of the next generation, they have no business to become our leaders;
  • So, we must have “statesmen” rather than politicians.

Hence, there is strong need for looking at these issues and to find suitable and effective remedies to save our culturally rich country from these nefarious activities. There is also a need for making the entire operation highly smooth to tackle scams in an effective way.

Let honest citizens join together and save our country. Let there be a “positive” revolution to save our country of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, and Jawahar Lal Nehru from these serious non-friendly bottlenecks. Let us save our democratic set-up.
