API's President Hazare has thanked the people for their overwhelming support in the elections. He said that the main agenda of the party will be complete eradication of the corruption from the whole system.

He said that there will be a thorough investigation of the ministers, particularly the 15 ones, of the previous government against whom there are corruption charges. He added that nobody will be harassed in the name of fighting the corruption.

API's second in command Arvind Kejariwal dedicated the victory to the nation while saying that this is the victory of the people against corrupts and the corruption. Kejariwal said that in a years time the country will be corruption free at all levels.

Congratulating the API on their victory, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that Anna Hazare is a very respectable man. She said that the Congress will introspect the reasons of the defeat. Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi also congratulated Team Anna and said that he will convene a meeting of all the defeated and winning party MPs to find out the reasons of the humiliating defeat.

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), which stood second in the ranking said that it will be a responsible and constructive opposition. Party spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman congratulated Anna Party of India and said that it is people's verdict that is acceptable to them. She said that the BJP will work along with the API to eradicate corruption from the country.

Meanwhile. a meeting of the API has started at the Maharashtra Sadan to put a final stamp on the name of the country's next PM and other key ministers. Notably Anna Hazare had already declared that Santosh Hegde will be the country's next PM if API wins.

Arvind Kejariwal is set to rule the north block as the next finance minister of the nation. While Kiran Bedi will be the home affairs minister and Prashant Bhushan will take care of Law ministry.

General VK Singh, who has a in-depth knowledge of the working style of the armed forces could take oath as a defence or external affairs minister. As per the sources key members of the API Manish Sishodiya and Kumar Vishwas will continue to work in the organization to strengthen the party.

As per the latest reports coming in, the meeting is underway to finalize the names of those who will govern other key ministries such as telecom, railways, power, etc. Importantly, Anna Hazare will continue to guide the government in the role of API's Chairperson.
