Politicians are masters, although they pose to be our servants
Politics is the art of governing people and as such all politicians wants to be our master so that they can govern us. However, in the democratic structure, they have to pose as our servants to get our votes, but after they achieve their goal of collecting votes from us and win elections, these politicians never meet us nor can we meet them easily.
Their residences become fortresses surrounded by a number of security personnel that one needs to be extremely lucky to find themselves at their main doorstep. For a layman, who would want to meet these politicians to talk about their grievances, their doors are mostly shut, which they promise to keep it open to address their concerns, when they ask for votes from common man. But, this promises are never fulfilled.
One also has to understand that none of the politicians including Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh
, Advani, Prakash Karat are in politics not to serve the common man. They are all hungry for power and money.
So, to make these politicians our servants, either elections should be held every year or there should be a power to recall these politicians including ministers, if they fail to perform their duties. There should be no security for these politicians and no special residences as well. Let them live like a common man and experience the problems, which we face in our daily lives.
