'Politicians should cultivate a sense of humour' - Justice PB Sawant
Twenty years back, while reviewing my book on politics and culture of Haryana titled "Haryana Ke Lalon Ke Sabrange Kisse", Justice PB Sawant, the erstwhile Chairman of Press Council of India and President of World Association of Press Councils (WAPC) urged the people and politicians to cultivate a sense of humour and harbor no rancour with writers.

Haryana Ke Lalon Ke Sabrange Kisse

The book, anecdotal in structure, highlights Haryana's politics of defection, "aaya ram gaya ram"  phenomena, floor crossings and Bharat darshan, besides the decisive role of Haryanvi politicians in national politics including the ouster of Rajiv Gandhi, Chandra Shekhar, VP Singh and Morarji Desai from power.

Justice Sawant opined that the antics, idiosyncrasies and foibles referred to in book are typical of all politicians who use their power to serve themselves and their near and dear ones. Justice Sawant, in his review wrote that by bringing out the book, the author had served a public cause besides adding to the literature on political satire. Justice Sawant praised the author for compiling the book along with cartoons thus making it an amusing and interesting read.

Justice Sawant's comments motivated me and I had authored two more books namely "Tips for Investigative Journalism" and "Gustakhi Maaf Haryana". I am currently working on my fourth book named "Humour in Khaki" covering major incidents that happened in Haryana's police department in the last fifty years.

Eminent writer Khushwant Singh and cricketer Kapil Dev also appreciated the book. Narender Gehlot, who is now the owner of India Bulls, had drawn the cartoons for the book.
