Politics of Opportunism Serves Nothing
In the list of Bihar State Congress Executives' members' name the reference of their caste and sub-caste shows that even in the 21st century we, as a society are living in much behind the time.
Politics of Opportunism Serves NothingThere is consensus on the notion that constitutional post of office be left out of the politicization by the political parties in India. But opportunism doesn,t let these political parties go pure. This time it has come to the fore in the Congress politics in the form of appearing the name of constitutional post holder Meira Kumar in the list of State Congress Executives on the basis of sub-caste, even going beyond caste division.

This shows that caste politics is rooted in our politics culture, political parties. And even the Congress-like party has not come out of the caste based politics.Though the Congress has withdrawn her name from the list of its State Executives, it does not seem to be pure one. The party high command and central leadership have claimed that it was not aware of the development in Bihar Congress Executive. But the fact is that in the Congress party, even the smaller issues, inclusion is taken by the central leadership. So the high command must have been informed of the issue and it was deliberately framed. Here arises the issue why the party decided to take up the name of an MP and constitutional post holder (few years back there was one more constitutional crisis in Bihar only when as the governor, Buta Singh was the center of attention) Meira Kumar and all the Executives in State Congress on the basis of caste and sub-caste division. Is it a vote bank politics?

Recently the Congress has been giving importance on Bihar to strengthen the base in the state after the success in parliament election in UP of late. The central leadership has given the charge to Jagdish Tytler to do a makeshift in the state and he does not want any opportunity to let off.Anyway, the BJP and other parties too are trying their hard to translate this opportunity in their own interest. Instead of making up for consensus on the issue, unfortunately, other parties too are indifferent towards the consequences. Very clearly, casteism, communalism and opportunism do not pay to the society, either the country. Still political parties give the party ticket to those candidates for elections who have a good vote bank, and vote bank is calculated on the basis of caste mathematics.

Caste based politics is ruining the fabric of society that's been sown for years through our culture and civilization. Any loss to this very thin emotional fabric will make a huge loss to our society and human being. We have seen such kind of loss at many occasions when two or more communities have been put to hate each other and it has left incurable wounds. This very is to serve the purpose of political parties that too for very short time, not for a longer period. Voters are now not a silent vote casters, they are mandate as a whole. Of late they have shown it in many ways and the Congress itself knows it. BJP has already swallowed the taste. So it's political parties to decide which way to go.
