Praful Patel, daughter Poorna Patel under IPL scanner
As per latest information, Praful Patel's personal secretary Champa Bhardwaj had forwarded a mail from her official ID to Shashi Tharoor's ID. The mail was reportedly sent to Poorna Patel, the minister's daughter by IPL CEO Sunder Raman.
An email from Praful Patel's office, which was sent to Shashi Tharoor has been leaked to the media and it clearly tells that there was something going on between the two. It has also been revealed that Patels' daughter Poorna Patel was working for IPL league in the marketing and hospitality department.
The mail contained a document which had projections of new franchisee valuations in the IPL. The mail was sent only March 19, just two days before the IPL bids were opened and which shocked the nation as two major corporate groups were pipped by the newcomer Kochi team. Praful Patel is now claiming that he had forwarded information sought by Tharoor and he had nothing to do with the deal. Patel said Shashi was a friend and he had asked for some information, which was given to him. Meanwhile, Poorna Patel has confirmed that he she had sent a mail to her father Praful Patel's secretary, but maintained that she was following instructions given to her by IPL CEO.
