Prakash Jha to be chargesheeted for dirty Rajniti
The Bihar police is filing a chargesheet against filmmaker Prakash Jha and 38 others in a case relating to violation of Model Code of Conduct for polls in Bihar's West Champaran district.
GANGAJAL, APHARAN and soon to be launched Bollywood flick Rajniti’s film maker Prakash Jha has landed himself in dirty politics via 2009 Parliamentary elections.The Bihar police has found Jha guilty of buying votes through money.

Jha was contesting 2009 Parliamentary poll from West Champaran seat as a LJP-RJD backed candidate. But before the constituency went to election on April 23, the police on a complaint conducted raid on Jha’s Bettiah office and recovered Rs 10.25 lakh.Thirty eight persons were also arrested from his office. The then sub divisional officer of Bettiah, Rajeev Verma filed an FIR against Prakash Jha for violating code of conduct. All 38 persons were booked for defying prohibitory order under section 144 of CrPC.


Prahash Jha had rebut the charge and said that recovered money was meant for his upcoming sugar mill.


The superintendent police of West Champaran KS Anupam said, “I have directed the concerned police officer to file the chargesheet on the basis of police inquiry, which was found true against accused and the others."
