Present England side better than 2005 Ashes team, says Flintoff
Andrew Flintoff has said that, the present England side is better than the 2005 Ashes team that defeated Australia. He feels that the present crop of players can dominate World cricket like the Australian and the West Indian sides did.

ANDREW FLINTOFF, one of the great all rounder that has played for England said that the present side that defeated India in the first two matches is even better than the team that defeated the Australian side during the  2005 Ashes, when the Aussies were dominating World cricket. He feels that the Andrew Strauss led side is better than the Michael Vaughan side, which also had great players in the team at that time. Andrew Flintoff was also the member of the winning English side of 2005.

He feels that the present crop of English players have the potential to dominate World Cricket. He is very happy with the depth in the side, as they have shown in the ongoing series.

The England team comprises of players such as Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Matt Prior, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Stuart Broad just to name a few, and have earned a name for themselves. These players have gained respect from their opponents all over the World for their display on the field.

Flintoff also gives credit to the present coach of the team, Andy Flower, who has handled the coaching responsibility perfectly. Under his guidance, the team has won matches in a comprehensive manner.

The Indian team would be playing their third Test match against England on August 10. If the England team manages to defeat the Indians at Birmingham, then they would be the number one ranked side in ICC Test rankings, and win the series 3-0, which Flintoff feels the English team deserves. The Indians are aware of the fact, so they would come up with their ‘A’ game during the third Test match. An interesting match awaits everyone at Birmingham.
