PRESIDENT BARACK Obama will appear on "The View" on Thursday July 29 on ABC. In U.S., this is the first time a sitting president will visit a daytime talk show. ABC’s Emmy Award-winning talk show, “The View,” is the American version of the UK's Loose Women, where women discuss topics of the day.
President Obama’s unprecedented appearance is part of the show’s continuing “Red, White & View” campaign, which is committed to political guests and discussions. Barack Obama last appeared on “The View” was in March 2008.
Producers of ABC's "The View" announced that the President’s interview will be taped on Wednesday and the topics of the talk show include jobs, the economy, the Gulf Coast oil disaster and how Obama’s family is adjusting to life in the White House. In April, Vice President Joe Biden also appeared on the program and discussed U.N. sanctions against Iran and others topics.
President Barack Obama will take the hot seat with five female presenters include actress Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselback, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters who is making a special appearance ahead of her official return following heart surgery in May.
