Patil said that all incidents linked with Mahabharata, portraits, events and archaeological goods have been displayed in the gallery which is a unique initiative in the world. The exhibition related to life of Lord Krishna is not only best in itself but it also gives the message of Karma to young generation.
While describing the museum as unique in the World, the President said that portraits and documentaries depicting the incidents of Mahabharata times have been displayed in the museum. It has archaeological and valuable information for all age groups. She also targeted the fish eye through replica of Arjuna’s bow.
The President also hoisted the largest National Flag of the country at world famous religious place Brahamsarovar. Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister Hooda said that the gallery would pave the way to put the Haryana on international map. He said that places connected with Mahabharta would be further developed so as to attract tourists across the globe.
Member of Parliament Naveen Jindal, Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Chhatar Singh, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary Tourism Dhanpat Singh, Director General of Police Ranjeev Dalal, Secretary to Governor Mohinder Kumar and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
President also inaugurated an audio-visual gallery on Mahabharata and Gita at Sri Krishna Museum in Kurukshetra and described the museum as a unique place where valuable information concerning various incidents of the battle of Mahabharata has been provided in addition to the display of ancient objects concerning Mahabharata.
The President said that the multimedia gallery would give the message of ‘Karma’ (action) and peace to the youth and show them such a path which would inspire them to work for the development of the country. She was also all praise for the multimedia audio-visual gallery on Mahabharata and Gita.
She appreciated that the museum has enough material for all sections of the society as for children; it has ‘Chakravyuha’ of Abhimanyu and questions as asked by ‘Yaksha’. An attempt has also been made to display the descendents of ‘Kauravas’ and ‘Pandavas’.
