Ipl 2018
Preview: IPL 10: Match 43 – RCB V/s KXIP
The down-and-out Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Kings XI Punjab in match number 43 of IPL 2017 in Bengaluru today.

However, Punjab still have a mathematical chance of qualifying in the play-offs. KXIP have 8 points from 9 games and are placed at the fifth position. A win today will ensure that they remain in contention, with another four games left for them to play after this one.

The Virat Kohli-led RCB will today only playfor pride, reassuring fans that they still have fire under their bellies. The skipper is expected to give youngsters a look-in replacing a few non-performers as today's result is inconsequential for them.

For KXIP led by Aussie Glenn Maxwell, South African Hashim Amla has been in prime form, with 315 runs already under his belt in this season of IPL so far. Martin Guptill too has been amongst the runs. However, skipper Maxwell is yet to fire in the tournament with his highest score being just 44.

In the bowling department KXIP would be hoping that Sandeep Sharma and Varun Aaron can do a repeat of their performance against the Daredevils. Their hopes also rest greatly on left-arm spinner Axar Patel, who has 10 wickets from nine matches.

On current form, KXIP do look a better side. But T20 cricket can be difficult to predict. Who knows that the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Kohli might have saved their best for the last!
