Preview: RR v DD - Rajasthan's royal homecoming
In their first IPL home game in five years, Rajasthan Royals will take on Delhi Daredevils at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.

The Royals have always had a strong fan base at their home ground and the supporters in excess of 25,000 are certain to cheer for their team today evening, when their favourite team locks horns with the Delhi Daredevils.

Both teams playing under new captains Ajinkya Rahane and Gautam Gambhir crashed to defeats in their respective opening matches of the season. While these losses wouldn't really put either team into frenzy as yet, it will be important for both to shed the rustiness soon.

Completely outplayed in their last outing against the Sunrisers on Monday evening, Rajasthan will need to regroup quickly after a heavy loss when they face Delhi Daredevils.

In absence of Steve Smith, the batting department crippled and barring Sanju Samson none of the batsman could cross the 20-run mark. With Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson, Heinrich Klassen and skipper Ajinkya Rahane in the ranks, Royals are all set to showcase their firepower tonight.

Delhi Daredevils on the other hand, despite getting a decent total of 166 against Kings XI Punjab, found themselves losing by six wickets in their opening match on Sunday.

With the talented trio of Shreyas Iyer, Chris Morris and Rishabh Pant along with Glenn Maxwell and Colin Munro who have the potential to carry the team forward, Delhi wouldn't be too perturbed by this defeat.

Rajasthan have won all of their last six games against Delhi. The last time DD beat RR was way back in 2012 in Jaipur, which is their only win at this venue. For Rajasthan, a record percentage of 72.24 at this ground is second to none in the IPL, and that should help their cause.
