AFTER COMING to power at the Centre the second time in continuation, the Congress-led UPA government has been concentrating more on economic growth figures. Every now and then data is released reflecting the “excellent economic growth”. The common man, including specifically the poor and the poorest of the poor classes of the Indian populace, are worst hit by booming inflation in the economy. Till date the government seems not willing to compromise on maintaining the higher growth data. At the same time the common man is facing the heat of the unending fire of price rise.
Better never than late, the opposition, particularly the BJP, is discussing hard this issue in the Parliament. The suggestion is to check the growth and release the surplus food grains in the market so that the prices of essential commodities can come down, which will ease the pressure of price rise on the common man.
In addition to check the growth target, the rotting food grains should be supplied to the poor, and most of all, and importantly, the hoarders and black marketers should be booked for their illegal, immoral, and unethical practices that is costing the common man and overall Indian economy.
